I haven’t blogged about my time in NYC because I’ve mostly been busy, but also having some conflicting emotions about being here this time. I’ve been unable to find the words in my own vocabulary, but luckily, on my last night in the city, I went to see the Broadway revival of COMPANY, and in it I found the words I needed:
Robert: The problem is you want too little. That’s the hardest thing in the world
to get. (Pause) Thank you for your park.
Kathy: You’re welcome. But, see, it and I, we just don’t fit. I think there’s a time to come to New York and a time to leave. Enjoy your party. (And she is gone)
Thanks to everyone who made this trip special, particularly Karen Olson, Sarah Weinman, Dave White, Duane Swierczynski, and Judy Bobalick.
See you at New Year’s NYC…
