I didn’t publish a novel this year, but that doesn’t mean the world was bereft of fiction from me. I published my first two short stories in almost a decade and I’m very proud of both of them and would love for you to put them on any award ballots for which they may qualify.
While I think both stories are great, if you can only put one on the ballot, I would suggest “The Body Electric” from the anthology DEAD ENDS edited by JT Ellison. This is probably one of the best stories I’ve ever written and it addresses some complex themes that I’ve wanted to work through for a while, but was waiting for the right opportunity. This story was the combination of the right idea and the right opportunity at the right time and I’d love for everyone involved to get the recognition for their hard work that comes with an award nomination. Thanks!
