Whack-a-Bryon

The last time I had a full-time job without constant Internet access, the productivity in this blog nosedived to about one post every three weeks or so. I hope that doesn’t happen again. But I don’t think so. They have computers in the lunch room and some other places around the building so that’s cool and there’s plenty of breaks and things to keep up. Of course there’s also a basketball court, a game room with air hockey, video golf, Ms Pac Man, Space Invaders, and Simpsons pinball, so keeping up with the blog may tumble a bit in the priority list.

Training has been busting my hump, there’s so much info to learn but I’m also excited because eventually I will get all of these for free. I will have EVERY SINGLE TV CHANNEL that they offer along with a digital video recorder to make sure I don’t miss any of it. This could be very good or VERY bad. I guess we’ll see. But last night after work I took some time out to go see the sisters of PJ Parrish read at Aunt Agatha’s in Ann Arbor and then head downtown for a drink afterword where we chatted about books and writing and sexy UPS men. Shut up Dave.

Tonight I’m geting back to revisions on the book, I took a couple weeks off to work on short stories for some very exciting opportunities that dropped in my lap, but I want to get this book done and out of here. I’ve got about 15K words left to rewrite for the new ending and I’m pretty sure I know what I’m going to do with it, but I’ve got to go back and reread everything to reaquaint myself with what I’ve already done.

Bleh, this humidity sucks and I’m already starting to doze off. It’s Friday night! I’m not thirty yet for cryin–zzzzzzzzzzzzzz…

  1. Let’s look back on Bryon’s past blog posts… “sexy UPS men,” (now if PJ were talking about it and you were saying “Okay, I have no idea,” it’s okay)… “The Devil Wears Prada” being better than Superman (no defense), thrillers (okay), and the fact that you’ve gone sledding naked (ew), and an Elton John song sung by Ewan MacGregor.Okay, then there’s my past posts. Pictures of me (apparently women don’t read my blog, it didn’t have the desired effect), Rocky Balboa (okay), clothes I just bought, and Damn Near Dead. I think I win. 2-1.
