My Favorite Christmas Songs

Because it’s cold, and we could all use some good thoughts, here are my favorite Christmas songs. The week before Halloween it was in the 80s some days around here, so I found streaming stations playing Christmas music and listened to it in my car. What are your favorites?

Step Into Christmas – Elton John
White Christmas – Bing Crosby
Sleigh Ride – Leroy Anderson
Carol of the Bells – David Foster
12 Days of Christmas – Straight No Chaser
Someday at Christmas – Stevie Wonder
It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year – Andy Williams
All I Want for Christmas is You – Mariah Carey
Jingle Bell Rock – Hall and Oates (Video Version)
Kelly Clarkson – Underneath the Tree
Darlene Love Trilogy – Marshmallow World/ Baby (Please Come Home)/All Alone at Christmas

Songs I forgot to add the first time around:

Ah, I forgot Perry Como’s version of Home for the Holidays.

Also, I can’t figure out if I really love or really hate the Bruce Springsteen version of Santa Clause is Coming to Town. I love the opening with all of the talking, but don’t care so much for the actual song.

Shoot, how could I leave off my favorite: Kenny and Dolly singing Christmas to Remember.
