Exposing my bono

I’m happy to announce that my multimedia short story PRO BONO (best viewed in IE 6) has been selected for this year’s Creative Writing Exhibition at Eastern Michigan University. While this hypermedia writing workshop as a whole has frustrated the ever loving life out of me, I really like this particular story. It uses music and pictures to set a noir tone for a snappy little story. I still have to polish up some technical aspects of the story but this is still pretty cool.

In other happy news I wrote 580 words tonight, finishing off a chapter in which I was able to mention a naked woman and the man-eating plant from “Little Shop of Horrors.”

  1. Wow, yeah. I remember them too. When you could buy dinner and a drink and still have change from a dollar. When it was safe to walk the streets at night. When kids didn’t give any lip to their elders.*shakes head in wistful reminiscence*

  2. Aldo– It’s hyper-media, there is no “correct” way to navigate through the story. Each of the blue linked words (you can see the blue linked words right? They don’t show up on some browsers) takes you to a different piece of the story. So you can click through until you’re satisfied you got a complete story. It will be different for each person. At least that’s what my prof tells me. I think its all bunk…
